Eddy Fobbs, age 27, is a 6′11″, 240-pound PF/C that played college basketball at Sam Houston State. Graduated from college in 2005, but went undrafted in that year’s NBA draft. He played for both Sioux Falls and Albuquerque in the NBDL last season. Pro Career Highlights: Participated in NBA summer league with the Miami Heat in the summer of 2006. Played in China during the 2005-06 season with the Shandong Jinsidun Lions. His college highlights: Earned Third Team All-Southland Conference honors as a sophomore and was named Honorable Mention All-Conference as a senior. Finished collegiate career as Sam Houston State’s all-time leading shot-blocker with 267. Holds the school’s top four single season marks for blocked shots. Also eighth all-time in rebounds with 618. Redshirted the 2003-04 season while recovering from knee surgery.

Ibrahim JaaberIbrahim Jaaber, age 23, played college hoops at the University of Pennsylvania. Ibby won the Ivy League Player of the Year in his junior and senior years, in the process breaking the league’s career record for steals (303) and finishing among the top pickpockets in college basketball. He finished 2nd nationally in steals his junior year and 3rd nationally in steals his senior year. With Mark Zoller, Ibby also led the Quakers to three straight Ivy League titles between his sophomore and senior years; he also played well in the team’s three NCAA Tournament games and scored 21 points when Penn visited a top North Carolina team. His stat line for 2006-07 were Pts: 15.9 Rbs: 4.5 Stls: 2.9 Ast: 5.2. Highlights included Ivy League Player of the Year, Big 5 Player of the Year, and AP All-American Notable.

Joah Tucker, age 24, is 6′5″ and 220 pounds. Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Tucker went undrafted in the 2006 NBA draft. He played on season at Bradley, transferred to University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, sat out one year, and then played from 2003-05 for the Panthers. Last season, Tucker played for Le Havre in France, averaging 12.8 points and 5.4 rebounds per game for a team that finished 16-18 in the French First Division. Tucker was on the Miami Heat roster last summer. For UWM, Tucker earned First-Team All-Horizon League honors twice while leading UWM to three-straight Horizon League regular season titles and three wins in the NCAA Tournament. In 3 years, he finished eighth on the school’s all-time scoring list (1,416) and sixth on the school’s Division I rebounding list (513). Tucker was also the 2005 Horizon League Tournament Most Valuable Player before averaging 25.3 points per game in three NCAA contests, leading UWM into the Sweet 16. He followed that up in the 2006 post-season by earning League All-Tournament honors before scoring 24 points in an NCAA Tournament First Round win over Oklahoma.

Ali TraoreAli Traore, age 22, stands at 6′10″ and 246 pounds. Born in France, he went undrafted in the recent 2007 NBA draft. He was projected by ESPN Insider to be a late 1st round to early 2nd round pick. Traore plays for Roanne in the Pro A France league, where he averaged 9.9 ppg and 5.5 rpg in 20.3 mpg this season. Scouts believe he has the size to be an excellent NBA power forward. He has a 7-foot-5 wingspan and is a good athlete. He has good skills and the ability to score in the post. Some have criticized his rebounding ability.

Walker Russell Jr, age 24, is the son of former Piston draft pick, former NBA coach and current Knicks scout Walker Russell. The 6′0″, 160-pound guard, Walker Jr played one season at a junior college in Florida before transferring to Jacksonville State University. Russell went undrafted in the 2006 NBA draft and played for the Knicks summer league team last summer. He averaged 5.6 ppg and 3.6 apg for Fort Worth of the NBDL last year.

LaRon ProfitLaRon Profit, age 29, was born in Charleston, South Carolina. Following a college career at the University of Maryland, College Park, he was a second round draft pick of the Orlando Magic in the 1999 NBA Draft. He’s played for the Washington Wizards multiple times, and was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers with Kwame Brown. Other career stops include Montegranaro in Italy and the Guandong Southern Tigers in China. Profit suffered a season ending injury and was waived on January 17, 2006 to make room for rookie Ronny Turiaf on the Lakers roster. He is currently playing for Efes Pilsen S.K. of Turkey.

Olimpio Cipriano, age 25, is from Angola. At 6′4 and 180 lbs, he has competed in various international competitions for the Angola national basketball team, including the 2004 Summer Olympics and the 2005 FIBA Africa Championship, of which he was the MVP as Angola beat Senegal national basketball team to capture first place for the 4th championship in a row. He was also a member of the Angola squad at the FIBA world championship. When not playing internationally, he is a member of Clube Desportivo Primeiro de Agosto in the Angolan professional league.
